FEEDBACK

"Loren, I wanted to say thank you for giving me the ability to have confidence when fishing with fly rod in hand. Many guides give their clients multiple fish days but they are in the dark when fishing alone. Not only did we 'get into fish' but I learned how to fish and read the river. This is guiding in the truest sense. Your focus was on presentation not secrets, your fly boxes were open to discussion and every 'spot' we fished began with discussing fishing techniques at various water levels and temperatures. This not only prepared me to fish the Salmon River for Steelhead, it gave me the ability to understand nymphing in general. I find myself using the same techinques at home as I do for Steelhead. It's amazing this stuff really works ! Thanks again for a great day on the river." ~Jeff F.

"I highly recommend a trip with Loren. As a repeat client, I’ve had the opportunity to shorten the learning curve dramatically in pursuit of both salmon and steelhead. The Salmon River is one of the more difficult places I’ve fished. A day with him enables an angler to ethically and legally learn how to fish for these magnificent fish on
his/her own. In my opinion, too many guides concentrate solely on getting their client into fish on one particular day, in one particular spot. Loren teaches his clients how to be successful not only that day, but provides the ability to catch these fish on their own in future trips. Many of the skills are also used for trout fishing elsewhere.

During a trip with my father and I, Loren showed the ability to adapt to different levels of experience and customized guidance to each of our skill sets. Loren provides all the information a fly angler could wish for: from
what hook to select for tying a particular pattern, to the best way to properly fight and land a powerful king salmon with brute strength or a dime bright screaming, leaping steelhead!" ~Gary L.

"Loren, Thanks for instructing me to catch my first and largest fish I have ever caught on a fly rod. You were a real help showing me how to cast, mend and land my Chinook salmon. I can't thank you enough." ~Justin S.

"Loren, Thank you for providing my son and me your guide service the past two years on the Salmon River. The valuable knowledge of fly-fishing you have shared with us has greatly improved my Salmon fishing while in New York and also my trout and bass fishing back home in West Virginia. My son and I have vowed to make this a yearly tradition. I'm already counting the days until we battle with more Chinook salmon during the 2006 season." ~Steve S.

"Loren:

I want to thank you for a most memorable day on the Salmon River. Even with my arm still sore I was out in the yard then down to the creek practicing my casting while your
teachings were fresh in my mind. No doubt our day will help me with all my trout
fishing experiences with a fly rod. You were the perfect and utmost professional fly-
fishing guide well exceeding all expectations. I would highly recommend anyone from beginner to expert in patronizing your services. Looking forward to our next lesson.

“Thanks to Loren’s skills, patience, and desire for perfection, not only can I now tie much better flies, I can tie faster, and more efficiently. I have been tying for about 8 years and was a little hesitant to invest in the class. Those fears were put to rest within the first five minutes of the first session. From how to hold your bobbin, knots and wrap thread to material selection and proportions you learn the correct way to do it and they pay off big time! Lots of little tricks too! A very professional enjoyable experience and well worth it.”
