FlyGuy's Guide Service is in it's second decade of serving serious fly anglers. Venues for salmon and steelhead center around the beautiful Salmon River and branch to other major eastern Lake Ontario tributaries. Trout instruction occurs on various trout streams of the greater Syracuse area. Additionally, I am happy to provide the following services:

I am a life-long fly angler with over 35-years of experience. My roots originate in the native brook trout streams of northeastern Pennsylvania and have since spread across the globe. Various mentors and experiences have molded me into the angler and teacher that I am today; perhaps none more than my ongoing tenure with Fly-Fishing Team USA. In 2005 I was selected as the team's first fly tier. In 2007 I was selected as an angling member, a role I proudly continue to maintain. In addition, I am a past head coach of the US Youth team and I continue to serve on the coaching staff where I eagerly engage the talented youth of our country. I have decades of experience on many of Lake Ontario's tributaries and I would be honored to serve you in the capacity of teacher and friend.
I enjoy pursuing the boundaries of fly-fishing and experiencing the advantages of new technologies and new ways of thinking. Seeking the "new" and "never before" continually trickles into my guiding where I hope to challenge and expand the skills of even my most veteran customers. On my own, I am continually testing new ideas and forcing myself outside my own boxes. I do feel that this leads to a level of service unparalleled by the majority of my colleagues. I have no secrets and I guide in a style I wish to be guided. I like to stand back and allow anglers to fish, stepping in to offer counsel when needed or if asked. The day is spent operating in a manner, and in locations, entirely accessible to you when on your own.
Proudly, my guide service has grown over the years by specializing in techniques that focus around the experience of fly-fishing. My core philosophy is to teach the skills an angler needs in order to experience consistent success depending on the specific species or venue.
